BFI London Film Festival Volunteers 2024
Volunteer Opportunities
68th BFI London Film Festival
BFI London Film Festival will take place at BFI Southbank and around London between the 9th and 20th Oct 2024. Volunteers are an important part of our festival, supporting us to deliver great experiences to our audiences alongside gaining an insight into film festival delivery and some of the skills associated with this. This a great opportunity to gain exposure at a film festival, enjoy access to London Film Festival events and films, and immerse yourself in the world of Film, Series and XR!
If you have an interest in learning more about BFI London Film Festival and can freely give your time to support us to deliver this brilliant event, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking volunteers with good communication skills, a friendly manner, and those who can deal effectively with people at all levels to support with hospitality, meeting and greeting guests, signposting visitors, providing support and information, and supporting us to deliver special events.
Volunteers will be based at BFI Southbank (nearest station is Waterloo) as well as other cinemas and venues across London. Tasks will vary across volunteering shifts which will be displayed in advance of signing up for these. We will work with you to agree upfront the time you would like to give to the festival against a set schedule of delivery.
Expenses for travel (public transport within London Zones 1-6) will be reimbursed, and we will provide you with food and refreshments. Volunteers also get to experience the buzz of the festival and the films and events we put on as part of this.
The BFI’s doors are open to everyone regardless of background or personal circumstance. We don’t need you to have prior experience of film or events management, so if you don’t think our festival volunteering opportunities are for you, please think again and know you are welcome, we want to hear from you and why you’d like to get involved.
All Volunteers must be 18 years old or above for health and safety reasons.
Please contact volunteers@bfi.org.uk if you have any issues.
