Volunteer opportunities for BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival 2025
BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival are currently looking for a team of committed, hard-working, enthusiastic and friendly volunteers, with a passion for LGBTQIA+ film and culture, to assist in the smooth running of this year's Festival from 19 – 30 March 2025.
BFI Flare is the UK’s longest running and Europe’s most popular LGBTQIA+ film festival, which showcases the best in LGBTQIA+ cinema from around the world.
Volunteers are an essential and valued part of the festival team and BFI Flare would not be possible without the support of our volunteers, who generously dedicate their time and commitment.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience of working on a film festival, enjoy access to BFI Flare films and events and immerse yourself in LGBTQIA+ culture!
We are seeking volunteers with excellent communication skills, a friendly manner and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels to assist in all areas of the Festival including hospitality, meeting and greeting guests, providing visitor support and information and supporting on event delivery.
Volunteers will primarily be based at BFI Southbank (nearest station is Waterloo). Working hours and duties will be discussed and agreed on with the Volunteers Coordinator following the selection and recruitment process.
You will be expected to commit to a minimum of 4 shifts during Festival. In return for your time, we will provide an allowance for travel (public transport within London Zones 1-6) and food, plus a chance to enjoy the festival itself.
